The Inference, Dynamics and Interaction group at the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow, is internationally leading at coupling inference and machine learning techniques with human-computer interface design technology, multimodal interaction and novel interaction styles. They contribute to CoSound within these areas.
The group is focused on researching the role of dynamic systems in the study and synthesis of interaction between humans and between humans and computers. The Inference, Dynamics and Interaction group brings together three fundamental research areas: modern inference techniques, dynamic systems and control theory and interaction design. The group’s strength lies in the unusual combination of theoretical backgrounds from machine learning to HCI, and the focus on building innovative working systems which achieve performance previously thought impossible, using the latest algorithms, sensors and devices.
